| | You won't believe how much trouble we've had getting internet lately! This is the first time I've really been able to get anything done online in about 6 days, so I'm just going to hit some highlights from the past week: After Vegas, we played another worship service/concert in Yucaipa, CA. Good crowd! Everyone helped us load our trailer afterwards too, in record time. The same group who helped us load took us out to eat afterwards, where we blew them away with our scooter skills in the parking lot. We figured out late in the evening that we'd had a communication mishap, and hadn't booked a hotel, so some of our new friends let us stay at their house. We woke up to an enormous, delicious breakfast and were able to do laundry! Very cool. Next up, we played the Wednesday night service at Horizon Christian Fellowship in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. Again, some originals, and some worship songs. Interestingly, the whole stage was setup like the inside of a small house, with a bedroom set center stage, a washer and dryer, and so on and so forth. I can't say I've ever setup beside (and tripped over) a washing machine before, and I probably won't get the chance again. We played well, and everyone seemed to like us. Good times. El Centro, CA was our next stop. We made record time setting up our PA and stage, and played a crazy show for the rowdiest crowd I've played for so far. I got hit about 15 times by the beach balls that were getting thrown around in the crowd. It was all fun and games until Joby's Les Paul just fell out of it's strap locks while Scott was talking about how bad things just happen to people, which broke off a tuner. The rest of the show went very well, and we got to meet a whole lot of people afterwards. A group took us across the border into Mexico for some authentic Mexican tacos. Yummmmmmm. After last night's stay in Phoenix, AZ, we're in Rio Rancho, New Mexico right now. Joby managed to fix his tuner with some JB Weld, and we're ready to play a worship service tomorrow morning, and a concert tomorrow night. Should be a good time. Goodnight, all! phil
